We are pleased to have Bob Nichols join the firm of counsel. Bob and his family live in the Avondale section of Jacksonville, where he  graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Following a successful career on the hardwood basketball court and obtaining a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Florida, Bob spent several years as an Infantry officer in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Captain.

Robert C. NicholsAfter graduation from the University of Florida Law School in 1963, Bob returned to Jacksonville and joined the firm of Smith, Elliot and Schwalbe. He spent over twenty years with the firm, which became Smith, Hulsey, Schwalbe, Spraker & Nichols, and now known as Smith, Hulsey & Busey.

Prior to a successful practice on his own, he spent several years practicing with the late Honorable William L. Durden at Kent, Watts & Durden.

He has served as counsel for The Charter Company, Charter Mortgage Company, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, Mike Davidson Ford, to name just a few. Bob currently resides with his wife of fifty years, Sandra. He has raised three children, all of whom live within blocks of his home. Over the years Bob has been involved with the Meninak Club, the United Way, the YMCA, the March of Dimes and has been a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church for fifty years. When not on the golf course or enjoying sunsets over Lake Geneva in Keystone Heights, he is busy with his five grandchildren.
